Mitch is a brand creative director working with his teams to produce thoughtfully crafted brand content, retail, digital, and event experiences.
Mitch grew his design roots in the Midwest. Early influences came from his hometown of Neenah, WI, home to many paper mills, foundries, and hard-working artisans and craftsmen. As a 1980's skater kid, he and his friends explored nooks and crannies of the small city, finding inspiration in the industrial architecture, old signage, and metalwork. "I feel skateboarding in itself lends to creativity" says Mitch. "It helped us to use our imaginations and learn to problem solve and create solutions from the materials and spaces we had at hand. My first graphics were stickers created for skateboard decks for myself and my friends."
Over the last 20+ years, Mitch has worked in NYC, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Boston, and Portland Oregon. He immersed himself into the exceptionally talented Minneapolis design community, cut his teeth on the fast-paced West Coast e-commerce world, and honed his skills in photoshoot art direction working on Robert Redford's Sundance catalog. In Portland, Mitch refined his skills as part of the Nike Brand Design team, served as creative director for his own company, and led the exceptionally talented adidas creative team at Roundhouse Agency before joining Harley-Davidson as their Global Brand Creative Director.
When asked what is the best part of what he does, Mitch answers, "It's seeing what we are capable of as a team. Each of us has a special something that we bring in, but get all that talent working together and it's incredibly awe-inspiring to see the results. Directing that kind of talent is rewarding to me every day.”
